Who we are

Go Saving Utility Ltd (trading as Go Savings Utility), company number 10646294, registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at admin@gosavingsutility.co.uk.

What we collect

  • Contact details you give us: name, business name, email, phone and postcode.
  • Enquiry details: the services you are interested in and the information you provide about your energy usage, card turnover, till setup or funding requirement.
  • Documents you choose to send us, such as an energy bill or merchant statement.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, where you have accepted analytics cookies.

Why we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and prepare a review or quotation. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
  • To obtain quotations from suppliers, lenders and providers on your behalf, where you have asked us to.
  • To administer a contract arranged through us, and to provide ongoing support.
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations, including record keeping.
  • To send marketing about our services, where you have consented or where you are an existing business customer and have not opted out. You can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

Where you ask us to obtain quotations, we share the information necessary to do so with the relevant energy suppliers, payment providers, EPOS providers or funding providers. We also use service providers for hosting, email and, where enabled, analytics. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not proceed are retained for up to 24 months. Where a contract is arranged through us, records are retained for six years after the end of that contract, in line with normal commercial and tax record-keeping requirements.
