Payment terminals & merchant services
Take card payments without overpaying for the privilege.
Countertop, portable and mobile terminals for UK businesses — with the transaction rates, monthly charges and contract terms set out clearly before you sign.
The rate is only part of the cost
Card processing is quoted as a percentage, but the amount you actually pay is made up of several things: the transaction rate, whether debit and credit are priced differently, authorisation fees, terminal rental, PCI charges, minimum monthly service charges and the length of the contract.
A headline rate that looks competitive can sit alongside charges that make it expensive. We compare the whole cost, and we tell you the contract length before you commit to it.

It depends on the provider, the hardware and your card turnover. Costs typically combine a transaction rate with a monthly terminal charge. We will give you the full figure for your business rather than a headline rate.
Merchant agreements often have a minimum term and an early exit charge. Send us your agreement or statement and we will check where you stand before recommending anything.
Settlement timescales differ between providers — some next working day, some longer. We will confirm the timescale for whichever option you choose.
The payment providers referenced in our own material include Teya, SumUp and Worldpay. Which are available to you depends on your business type and card turnover.
Yes. Any business taking card payments must meet PCI DSS requirements. Providers usually supply a self-assessment process, and some charge a fee if it is not completed. We will point this out.
