Business energy
Business energy, compared properly.
Commercial electricity and gas contracts are priced individually. We read your bill, check your renewal window and go to market on your behalf.
Why business energy is different
Business energy is not sold from a published tariff table. Your unit rate depends on your usage profile, your meter type, your location, your contract length and the day the price is agreed. Two identical shops on the same street can pay very different rates.
That is why the useful question is not “who is cheapest” but “what can be secured for this business, on this meter, in this renewal window”. That is the work we do.
What you get
What our business energy service covers
Whole-of-bill review
Unit rate, standing charge, contract end date and any out-of-contract rate you may have rolled onto.
Renewal timing
Most business contracts have a fixed window in which you can agree new terms. Miss it and you can be rolled onto a default rate.
Multi-site handling
If you run several premises with different suppliers and end dates, we can line them up rather than treating each as a separate problem.
Change of tenancy
Taking on a new premises, or leaving one, involves specific supplier processes. We will tell you what is needed.
Meter and profile checks
Half-hourly, non-half-hourly, single or three phase — the meter type changes what is available to you.
Straight answers
If your current contract is competitive, or you are locked in until a date that makes switching pointless, we will tell you that.
How it works
From first call to done.
- 01
Send us a bill
One recent electricity or gas bill contains nearly everything we need.
- 02
We check the detail
Supplier, rate, standing charge, usage and — critically — your renewal window.
- 03
We go to market
We approach suppliers for pricing based on your actual usage profile.
- 04
You review and decide
We set out the options in writing. If you proceed, we handle the switch paperwork.

No. Switching supplier is a commercial and administrative change. The physical supply to your premises is unaffected — no engineer visit, no downtime.
Most business contracts can only be renewed inside a defined window before the end date, and many cannot be exited early without a termination charge. Your bill or your contract will state the end date. We will check it before recommending anything.
We are paid by the supplier when a contract is arranged through us. There is no charge to you for the review itself. If you want the commission arrangement set out in writing before you commit, ask and we will provide it.
Then we will say so. Telling a business to switch when it should not is how brokers lose customers.
The suppliers referenced in our own material include British Gas, Pozitive Energy, EDF, E.ON Next and SmartestEnergy. Availability depends on your meter type, usage and credit position.
