Business funding

Funding that fits how your business actually trades.

Working capital, stock, equipment or growth. We help you understand the options available to a business of your size and trading history — and what lenders will want to see.

An enquiry, not an application

Talking to us costs you nothing and does not affect your credit file. We start by understanding what the money is for, how much you need and how your business trades — because that determines which type of funding is realistic.

Lending decisions are made by lenders, not by us. What we can do is make sure you approach the right kind of lender with the right information, rather than applying repeatedly and being declined.

What you get

What our business funding service covers

  • Clarity on options

Term loans, working-capital facilities, asset and equipment finance, and merchant cash advances all behave very differently.

  • Cost explained properly

We will talk in terms of total cost of borrowing and repayment structure, not just a headline rate.

  • Documentation checklist

Bank statements, accounts, VAT returns — we tell you what to have ready before you start, so nothing stalls.

  • Merchant-linked funding

If you take card payments, some facilities repay as a share of daily card takings rather than a fixed monthly amount.

  • Realistic expectations

If your trading history makes a facility unlikely right now, we will say so and explain what would change that.

  • One point of contact

You are not passed between three call centres to get an answer.

Not sure about something that is not covered here? Call 020 8923 3250 and ask.

An initial conversation with us does not. A formal application to a lender may involve a credit search, and we will make it clear before that point is reached.

That depends on your turnover, trading history, sector and the type of facility. We will not quote a figure before we understand your business.

It varies by lender and facility type, and by how quickly documents are available. We will give you a realistic expectation once we know which route fits.

Not always, but trading history strongly affects what is available. Some facilities require a minimum trading period and a minimum monthly turnover.

Most lending to limited companies for business purposes is unregulated commercial lending. Some agreements, particularly for sole traders and small partnerships, may fall under consumer credit regulation. We will tell you which applies to the option you are considering.
